On Saturday Night, the Noble (and peasant) women of Mountain Drive chose a new king for the Land: Duke McPherson. Duke, in a show a great wisdom, chose Claire Gottsdanker to be his Queen. God Bless the new King and Queen and their entire kingdom in 2010.

THE CITY OF SANTA BARBARA FIRE INFORMATION
A group of pro-active community members have patched the majority of the potholes on Coyote Road. The County and the City are still arguing over who is responsible for the various sections of Coyote Road, so…until they get it resolved…we will need to take care of this problem ourselves. It has come to our attention that a couple of new potholes have appeared and we will do what we can in the coming weeks to help remedy the situation. Until then, as always, slow down on Coyote Road and drive safely. The same is true for Mountain Drive…take your time…and make it home safe.
New Temporary Assistance Office The Tea Fire Satellite Relief Trailer at Stoddard Road is now closed. The MDCA is planning to site a new trailer on Mountain Drive to help aid in further relief efforts. We will post the location and hours of the new MDCA Relief Trailer as soon as the location is confirmed.
Group Purchase of Building Materials The MDCA is looking into helping to reduce the cost of reconstruction by putting together group purchases on building materials. If you are interested please contact us at mdcaarchitecture@gmail.com
Architecture Committee and Rebuild Committee This committee is your staring point. Jeff Shelton has been working with local engineers and other architects. We are working on getting group rates for testing of foundations and septic systems. Please check with the Architectural Committee before moving forward. There is the potential for significant obstacles to rebuilding and they can offer assistance. We have a better chance of rebuilding the community if we do it as a community. The Committee is looking for photos of all Mountain Drive houses – pre-burn! – To establish a context for our newly completed architectural guidelines. Contact mdcaarchitecture@gmail.com.
Other Community Info
If anyone has any photographs from Mountain Drive community events, please contact our historical committee at mdcahistorical@gmail.com. They are trying to reconstruct a photographic history.
And don’t forget to keep checking the website: www.teafireregistry.org for community updates, resources, free and discount stuff and other good information!
We hope this information is helpful. Please be in communication, we want to hear from you, we want to be of assistance and we are committed to seeing our community rebuilt.
Best wishes in the New Year,
The MDCA Board
